The Vabel Group continues its drive for reshoring and industrial innovation with a major strategic investment at its Deauville site, operated by its subsidiary Jacomo Production. This project, with a total value of €1.5 million, marks a new milestone in the Group’s industrial development.
A state-of-the-art automated packaging line
Since July 2024, Jacomo Production has been equipped with a fully automated perfume packaging line, integrating cutting-edge technological equipment:
•a PKB filling machine (Normandy-based manufacturer),
•a Marchesini cartoner (Italy),
•a Marden Edwards cellophane wrapper (United Kingdom),
•along with complementary modules such as a bottle placement robot (PKB) and a DMP palletizer (Calvados, France).
This new line meets the growing demands of the luxury market, particularly for exports (Asia, Middle East, North America), and enhances the industrial competitiveness of Jacomo Production.
Strong support from the Normandy Region
This project was made possible thanks to co-financing of €300,000 from the Normandy Region, as part of the “Impulsion Développement” program. According to Patrice Robert, Director of the Jacomo Production site:“The support of the Normandy Region was a real catalyst. In a global competitive context, it is vital for us to invest, innovate, and stay ahead in order to sustain our business in France, at the heart of Normandy.”
Growth and employment momentum
This investment is already bearing fruit:
•+20% revenue growth between 2021 and 2023,
•Workforce expansion from 135 to 149 employees,
•New partnerships with prestigious brands.
Jacomo Production, established in Deauville since 1983, operates on a 10,000 m² site certified ISO 22716, with an annual capacity of over 25 million units. The factory is now a key player in the manufacturing and packaging of high-end perfumes.
An expansion to shape the future
Continuing this growth momentum, a new 3,300 m² extension is currently under construction. It will include a maceration room with a capacity of 600,000 liters and a logistics warehouse for 2,500 pallets. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2025. With this major project, the Vabel Group reaffirms its commitment to a high-performing, sustainable, and forward-looking French industry, serving the most demanding brands.
